Our Mission
RecreAsian was built on one idea: to give Asian American actors, filmmakers, and everyone in between in the entertainment industry a space to play. For too long, Hollywood has stifled Asian creators by dictating what roles and jobs they can and can’t perform.
Here at RecreAsian, we want to show that Asian actors and creatives can take on any role and how we look doesn’t detract from the story being told! We want to shatter the notion of being seen as “revolutionary” when we see Asian Americans telling normal, everyday stories. If the U.S. is the melting pot it claims to be, our media should showcase that!
We hope to accomplish this by recreating iconic movie and TV scenes with a mainly Asian cast and crew. You, the audience, will see the movies and shows you grew up with, being told the exact same way, but with an Asian twist. We want to emphasize that the stories we are telling are universal and don’t hinge on the appearance of the actors, but rather their performance of the role.

Ruliko Cronin, Founder & Executive Producer
Ruliko Cronin was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada the entertainment capital of the world. Originally a dancer, she began acting when she was 18 to explore different avenues in story telling and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis in stage and screen acting from UNLV in 2019.
It was during this time that the lack of representation in media along with her experiences in the classroom pushed her to pursue acting and creating opportunities for other Asian creators where the industry was lacking.
She hopes with RecreAsian Productions, she can truly make a difference and help pave the way for others.
